r_target Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 That first one you listed, I didn't notice the 128 bit memory interface, so yeah regular 9800Pro I guess it is. It will surely beat the 5900XT.

the thing is already oc'd. factory at 420/700. default i think is 390/650 or some crap.
GregP24 Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 If you're on a budget, then the 9800Pro is your best bet. If you can swing a few extra bucks, then a 6600GT or X700XT is a better bet. I'm assuming funds are limited because you are looking at $185 vid cards and not $300+ cards. You will do fine a 9800Pro. Just DON'T buy that 9800SE piece of garbage you posted. DECwakeboarder Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Get that MSI RX9800, I have that same card, green PCB too, and it owns! I'm really limited by my current CPU and mobo, but once I switch to A64 I should be looking into around 7,500 on 3Dmark03.

Goran Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Go with 6800GT or the x800 Pro. Not too expensive and can be nicely overclocked to Ultra/XT!
