System is pulling 1400W+ with all 8-cores @ 5.3GHz and both cards OC +200/850.

NVLink-based SLI multi-GPU technology seems to have lots of potential, though it is still in the early phases and the technology isn't being fully utilized with current applications. In reality, multi-card scaling depends on support from developers, but it is exciting to see a breath of new life given to multi-card configurations running NVLink. 3840 x 2160 HDR gaming is indeed epic.

u Crazy!! Hows the HDR working for you? I have issues with games saying its in HDR mode but be completely blown out until I go into the windows 10 HDR menu turn it off and than back on. Works for a few days and the same thing happens. So now I leave HDR disabled. Not worth the hassle of having stuff looking wacky half the time.

So far everything is scaling great no issues on the few games that I'v played @ 4K HDR,.. Rise of the Tomb Raider, and F12019.

+1 on disabling HDR if it does not work, and running @ 4K UHD. I was having issues with Steam crashing while downloading updates yesterday but seems OK now,.. looking forward to issues though utilizing DLSS and DXR/RTX,..

tks,..  Skylake X systems are only a few years old and will be solid for years too come.  launched Q3'17.

Thinking I'm going to make this rig my daily driver, it runs cool & quiet while performing daily tasks it's basically silent. The chassis is huge with lots of air-flow, rotational PCI-E slots to display graphics cards vertically might lower top cards temps a bit while gaming, going to give it a go this weekend and rotate the slots see if temps change. I added some storage drives yesterday, three Samsung EVO 4TB SSD drives, and now waiting on new cables as I misplaced or used the cables that came with motherboard.

Only down side with this rig so far is having a clear glass rear panel. You need to spend some time on cable management as everything is exposed on backside of motherboard.

First setup with red/black cable extensions. pics link:  https://imgur.com/a/lbnclTG

I rotated the slots and removed the cable extensions, makes for a cleaner look. Running single card benchmarks, will add second card this weekend.

Second setup stock cables, slots rotated. pics link:  https://imgur.com/a/YX7gKHp

What is the Sony Device?

A9 II Camera, I use Capture One Pro 20 editing software on daily driver PC,.. strictly as a hobby. I enjoy tinkering, and took a class years ago and was hooked.
