Nyt Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 There was some stuttering on Ultra (with TXAA 4x and HBAO+ High). Not bad, but I decided to do a mix of Ultra and High and drop it to TXAA 2x and HBAO+ Low. A bit smoother and still looks good. Even my 780 Ti (3Gb) experiences some stuttering with Ultra settings, HBAO+ High and SMAA It seems to happen when driving or going into new mission areas, even though most of the time I'm running 80+ FPS. With regards to the topic, I would try and find a GTX770 4Gb if you can. I'd recommend this Zotac GTX770 4Gb (with free Watch Dogs download code) for $369.99 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500303&cm_re=GTX770-_-14-500-303-_-Product
ClayMeow Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Interestingly, one of the settings I have set to Ultra is "Textures" and it's the one thing where there's actually a warning saying it requires 3GB VRAM. Oops! I swear it didn't have that warning during pre-release. lol. Well good to know it doesn't stop you from selecting it!
narukun Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) Look at this http://www.amazon.com/PNY-GDDR5-Graphics-Cards-VCGGTX7704XPB-OC but I'm not sure about PNY, I live out of the US so I'm looking for the best quality components and reliability brand. Can you guys give me your opinion about PNY?. That's price its more is more suspicious than attractive to me. http://www.amazon.com/PNY-GeForce-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-VCGGTX7704XPB-OC2 Thanks. IVIYTH0S Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Links don't work for me.... You fix my mistake, I help you out http://www.amazon.com/PNY-GDDR5-Graphics-Cards-VCGGTX7704XPB-OC/dp/B00F6EAN7U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1401299409&sr=8-1&keywords=VCGGTX7704XPB-OC Yeah looks like a fine card for a good price! ClayMeow Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Damn, that's a nice price indeed. I haven't really heard much about PNY in years and we haven't reviewed any of their cards in quite awhile it seems. But it's rated well and I mean, the important parts are made by NVIDIA anyway, so I don't see there being much risk.
narukun Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I guess im gonna go for it. I don't like the PCB though, huge and its like a "frankenstein". Sorry for the bad links, what's the difference here? 310$ http://www.amazon.com/PNY-GDDR5-Graphics-Cards-VCGGTX7704XPB-OC/dp/B00F6EAN7U 410$ http://www.amazon.com/PNY-GeForce-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-VCGGTX7704XPB-OC2/dp/B00FE2IO48 I want to know before buy it, maybe they're using cheap parts or something.. ClayMeow Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 The second one is overclocked slightly more, but it's not worth it. The main reason for the price difference is not the OC, but rather that the cheaper one is sold by Amazon, while the expensive one is sold by CircuitCity (which I didn't even think was still in business). Here's a comparison of the two versions on Newegg. As you can see, Newegg has them priced equal to each other (though OC2 is out of stock). SpikeSoprano Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 The only difference is $100, get the cheaper one and oc it yourself, exact same components.
