Bulldozer & Ivy-bridge

Thanks Mr. Obvious :P I should have been more specific and asked if we the consumers would be able to disable 6 of 8 cores and try for some monster OCing? Not that I would want to, heck I won't even disable HT to see if I can get higher  I know that this isn't about anything involving the consumer, and all about a World Record. Maybe the title should read "AMD disables 6 cores on their new 8 core BD CPU and Breaks the Record"

Well it seems correct 2 cores = to 2 threads?

Yeah... so CPU-z is reading one module correctly... what about the other 3 modules? Maybe CPU-z is just confused! Or they disabled 6 cores, who knows!

I still hope BD beats SB. On a per core basis i can see it losing to SB, but overall, I'd like see a video conversion or perhaps like 3DMark11 or anything that can fully utilize all 8 cores, I'd really like to see the BD win when its 8 thread vs 8 thread.

Didn't it say in the article that disabling 3 modules helper get to 8+Ghz? Lol only first revision too :) (Will the 95W version help?)

I am getting sick of these fake benchmarks popping everywhere, AMD needs to just release BD already!

I think we'll see something shortly. Cray already has their Interlagos shipments rolling in...it's only a matter of time before we see Zambezi.

It also says 56w TDP.

Can someone quote the article where it says only 2 cores were enabled? I read the article and don't remember seeing it. Reading on my phone, that might have something to do with it though :P

I dont care about the quote, so much but I did the same as you. I red the article, but i was at work, must have glazed right over the part about 3 modules being disabled lol.
