Recommended Posts

Ok go

Check out this Review for Noctura Thermal Paste by OCC Reviewer hardnrg shows so graphs comparing other thermal pastes as well.

And some vegimite ftw go australia check out this Dan's Data comparison betwwen thermal greases and some toothpaste and vegimite. Oh and for those who don't know what vegimite is here you go Toast of the Nation this is how serious it is.

What ever the cooler comes with is fine, I have a tube of AS5 but just use whatever my coolers come with anymore and have seen no difference.

However if you are resetting a heat sync ect. and no longer have whatever tube came with your gear you may wish to continue on.

+10 Artic Silver 5 3.5g $12.00

+1 Coolabratory Liquid Pro

+1 Artic Silver Céramique 2 2.7g $6.00

READ THIS and THIS REVIEW before making your decision. they are both ongoing 2011 reviews

AS5 (or 4, or 3...) sux. don't use it. it is HIGHLY overrated.

PK-1, MX-2, are very good and easy to find at a reasonable cost.

Indigo Xtreme is THE best - bar none. coolab liquid metal - don't use it.

the diamond pastes are also very good and don't have any cure time, but can "polish" the heatsink and CPU spreader over time - if that is a concern for you then don't use it.

sorry for my agressive tone in this, but i see so often that people make recommendations based on what they have done....but they have only ever done ONE THING!! look at the reviews posted throughout this thread and make your own decision. the ones i have posted are 2011 articles and still ongoing, but have tested some of the major brands - and some unknowns....even many which are listed in this thread. read both the reviews i linked above...compare them for consistency (different review sights have different methods for how they review a product, but as long as they are consistent then so should the results between sights), and then come to your own conclusion.

Yes, yes a little agressive but valid although you sound a little biased against the Artic Silver Range? Was wondering why...

However one point that i want to draw attention to THIS as bschmidt71 supplied a link for and a few others to they have regularily updated reviews on TIMs and bench tests with results in graphical for to make reading easier

Last of all How to lie with statistics a good book always check what the scales are on any graph to make sure you know how things are been compared what may look like a large diferrence between say one thermal paste and another may only be a single degree but a graph can be created so that it is both factual and misleading.

Arctic Silver Céramique 2, you can buy the big 25g tube for $10 + Free shipping with Amazon Prime. It performs as good as the Arctic Silver 5 and you get more for the same price (2g AS5 tube is $10).
