No you guys dont understand , while its summer in the northern hemisphere , its winter here in South Africa , I did that on the day that the temps were around 6 degrees celsius . The temps sensor worked fine on all my runs and I can post a pic of my stock GTX480 heatsink if you dont beleive me . I can post idle temps from Afterburner too of my overclock if all you still dont beleive me .I wouldnt be able to get that at max volts in summer.

Wow Mythos, your Oc'ed GTX460 beat my stock GTX470 score a while back , the GTX460 must be damn good !!

It is, I should try it with my new overclocks, I lost 5mhz in the core but gained 60mhz in the memory so I wonder if that'd help more

Hey Shadowtroop , what fan speed were you running on that HD5970 at when you took the run ?

i was just running auto, i was lucky to get that score on my first run, i usually bump the speed up about 75% if i do multiple runs.

When I was deciding between 2x 5870 or a 5970, everything I read showed that the 5870 CF setup would outperform the 5970. With the 5970 they downclock both 5870 gpu's, which is why I went the other direction and got 2 x 5870. Although the 5970 can be overclocked, it will never reach the 5870 overclock ability!

Seems HD5970's OC just as well as HD5870's since there are the same two 5870 chips on the HD5970 than in two HD5870's.

Just got my new ASUS EAH 5970 Voltage Tweak Edition . Clocked it at 940mhz core and 1300 on mem which gave me a score of 17051. This card runs damn cool and overclocks very well.
