TropicalPreist Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 These are my temps...im using shin-etsu paste. Dunno what im doing wrong here. Also OCCT seems to lock up at times, ie: "Not responding" but then will continue to run. Anyway i think this is horrible for stock settings with a performance cooler. I'm almost scared to bring it back up to 4ghz. http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/572/d14c.png

dr_bowtie Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 1st of all use the supplied TIM and I am willing to bet the Shin-Etsu you used is applied too thick... check the contact patch...wipe off the heatsink each time until you have very little "pull-off" but yet still have some... I tightened the screws all the way, until i got them snug, then twisted them maybe an 1/8 of a turn more. & you're using that goofy screwdriver that came with it right?
