_TheAlexO Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 well if its taking that long to join a server then its the servers fault. if it crashes then try reinstalling it. if you spent $1500 building it yourself then im sure its more than capable of garrys mod
tkrow21 Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 1. Garry's Mod is a mod. 2. Garry's Mod servers tend to have additional mods and addons on top of the "vanilla" game. 3. Garry's Mod isn't exactly streamlined. Try it out with another Source game.
potatochobit Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 you need to donwload more RAM, that will help you connect faster. make sure the game is updated and check the steam forums for the game (rightclick game and click forum) sometimes the server list gets corrupted for valve stuff also if your computer is overclocked, you did it wrong. CheeseMan42 Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Could be your network connection or needing to download additional stuff when connecting to some servers. As was said "vanilla" servers aren't very common these days and will often specify that they are indeed "vanilla" in the server name.
