road-runner Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 under revision i have a CO/CI and you have DO. Whats the difference? Does it mean i would have a rough time ocing this processor? D0 is the newer stepping which generally overclocks a little better with less volts but not always, I have seen some C0 that will get on up there and some D0s that are worse than C0. Then there are some D0 that are amazing, its all wether or not you get lucky and get a good one. Added you guys, listed updated I think... ccokeman Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I have a DO that does 4.1 on air but has a really crappy mem controller. while I have a CO that does 4.1 it gets so hot you need water to keep it cool
road-runner Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I have a D0 thats not better than my C0s, then I have a D0 that will do 4.5Ghz linx stable with 1.329...

RJR Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 (edited) Can we play too with the 1156 socket? NOT optimized at all, just wanted to see what it would take for sub 10s. My E8400 needed 4.725 GHz to break the 10 second mark. The i7 860 does a little better. Only been playing with it for a few hours so this is very premature, just thought I would share in case anyone was interested. road-runner Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Can we play too with the 1156 socket? Sure, but you need to include a second cpuz open to the memory tab in your screenshots guys...
