Its time for me to do a rebuild of my main rig, the one in my signature. I was thinking of putting RC2 on it to see how well it runs. Is it worth my time to try getting Raid 0 to run on it? Should I just use an ATA drive?

The only thing with RAID is, that you'll have to install XP first on the array and then upgrade or clean install from within XP.

Can I format if I do a clean install from xp without lossing the raid? I have never installed vista from windows.

Dumb question, I know but as I have never bothered with RAID, I was always under the impression that RAID (0) meant that you have to format your drive/lose all your files, is this the case?

If you want to set up your two 320GB drives for a RAID-0 array you would lose all you data, unless you had another drive to back them up to. I would just stick to using your Raptor for the OS.

You mean just as XP sees two separate hard drives if they aren't in a RAID array? If so then yes.

I have RC2 installed and was not shear if I should use the RC1 drivers from ATI!?!?!?:confused:
