And actually the army stuff is really serious, at least the rules and regulations. Normally, every turkish male must go to army after the age of 18 for 6 months, 12 months or 18 months (depends on education level) >> If you are a college graduate not more than 12 months. And if you dont go before 38, they kick you out citizenship. However, if you spend at least 1,095 days outside of Turkey paying taxes to another government you can buy-in (i am sure vegas boys know what i am talkin) your service time. How >> I've been in US for almost 4 years and paid $7,000 (standard fee) to turkish military last month, so they reduced my obligation to 21 days (standard). And they are sending me to a "boot" camp on the Aegean cost. Even tough I am 27, I'll be the youngest guy there cuz everyone else is coming from germany, holland, belgium, australia, austria, etc. and they have been living there for long time. Well, sounds like a bribe, huh! It's definitely unfair but in the system there is a professional army + this "recruiting" event for rest of us. Motto for the Turkish army: every turk born as a soldier... What am I gonna do there >>> worlds most funny things like walking on an empty field for 6 hrs; gathering the leaves one day - spreading them the other day; digging holes one day - closing them the other day; and yes shooting perhaps with 2 bullets to some target that in no way in the world you can see it! They dont allow you to take any "civilized' things with you and also you need to "pose" with a gun from ww2 for the army photo that you should buy from them... it will be a different 3 weeks. In the weekends burdur's (city) hookers (sorry - ladies) will be waitin for us though. @ON-TOPIC: if you go to vegas, take many photos. Actually i was thinking to offer bringing some other side stuff, like headphones or headphone amplifiiers, or other nerdy gadgets that people can enjoy and compare for their future purchases... Vegas is cheaper than you think....Get on the net...(well ur already here) just check out excalibur.com (vegas casino) and then call them (or any other casino for that matter).... You can get 5day-4night for $300.00 including airfair.... they want you there and they will get you there if they think you will gamble away all your puter money.... they was one resort Solay.... that was free for a week... I would love to come to vegas..(me and the wife)but I'm not much of a puter geek... so a lan thing for me would be more watch than playing..... though I would be tempted to try a few vegas hookers.... I worked in Vegas and saw way too many "weekend trips" turn into nightmares of thousands of dollars in legal fees, HIV tests and broken marriages because of hookers. Just say NO! The closest legal brothels are in Pahrump on the way out to Nellis Air Force Range.
