  1. I am not going to voice my opinion on this matter as of now... but since when was intolerance something that only Conservatives were guilty of? Please. You're being just as close minded saying that intolerance is what this country is all about. People can think what they want to think whether or not YOU think it's right or it's wrong.
  2. I didn't mean to offend anybody here. It's just my perspective, immature and stupid as it may be. My apologies.
  3. I understand. But this forum was, at one point, something to be really proud of. We had user reviews on different products all the time and had people who were complete experts on different subjects. Why were people this way? Because we all had a common interest: DFI. DFI is (or was, at least) something special. But in my opinion DIY-Street needs DFI as much as DFI needs us. They're NOT the same company without this forum. And the entire population and mindset of this forum has changed from slightly elitist to in my opinion boring and bland. That's not to say I've not made some great friends, but I just feel like a lot has went away that was useful. And you're right, I have no idea of the politics of it all. But I used to spend 4-5 hours a day on here where now I check in once or twice a week and most of the time nothing has changed. And who the hell said we had to be different? There's nothing wrong with doing the same thing everyone else does as long as we do it better than them, which we did. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
  4. Flame suit on? Check. Breaking the relationship with DFI was the biggest mistake this site ever made. The site is not nearly as interesting as it once was just because Angry is a cranky bastard and it's his way or the highway. There, I said it. I feel better.
  5. No, 4 is correct. Pentium D's just suck with SMP (and everything else in general).
  6. Well, I'm back folding. Right now I've got 2 Pentium D 820s and a Core 2 Duo E4300 folding using the Windows SMP Client. I'm going to be building another machine soon which will be quad core... so... (I've also got a few Pentium 4 2.4GHz machines running but they only get +/- 70PPD)
  7. In Duluth it got down to -70 with the wind chill on Wednesday night.
  8. -13 without the windchill, -45 with it. Yup, no school yesterday or today for me
  9. The results are in: 1st place: CISCO Systems Administration 1st place: PC Servicing and Troubleshooting 1st place: Information Technology Concepts 3rd place: Administrative Support Concepts I'll see you in a month and a half!
  10. It's not so much that it's really long. I tend to "flip" my hair so when it hasn't been cut in a few weeks it starts to lean to one side. And I like my hair like it is, thanks!
  11. Haha I've been busy with college apps, my girlfriend... you know... real life stuff :tooth: I'm building another rig so hopefully I'll be around here more often.
  12. The best part is last year on the CISCO test there were questions to which the correct answer was not one of the options.
  13. There are some pretty irrelevant questions on that test. I got 5 wrong last year at regions but probably won't do that good this time.
  14. They're quite easy and many questions are from PC Servicing. Anyway, I hope to make it to Nationals again this year but since it's in Reno... meh. I probably won't put a lot of work into studying a whole lot... Edit: The goods from last year (minus 2 first place trophies... I gave those to my team mates)... Nationals...
  15. Good job! I've got regions on the 24th and 25th. I'm competing in CISCO Systems Admin and PC Servicing and Troubleshooting (and all other open events). Not to sound cocky but I'm sure I'll go to State in over 5 events. See you there! I'm my chapters VP this year, by the way.
  16. They didn't pay for the car so much as they paid for the modifications to the cars. But within the next 6 months you'll see me back here building something bigger and better with hopefully a 30" display.
  17. Oh it's awesome. From 60GB, 8MB cache, and 5400RPM to this thing is a huge improvement. Definitely improves my load times in F.E.A.R. considerably which is what it's intended to do!
