Ok so i've been waiting to get these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227225 for over 2 weeks now and everytime they say there coming in they push the Out of Stock to a further date so i'am tired of waiting want to get this new rig pumping. So my ? is what would be my next best choice I'am not set on the OCZ's but i want to get something that i can get going stable at first then start OC'n once i read up and learn more about it.and don't have a clue what to get.

Hello,

You don't have to use 1:1 (requires 3.4-3.5v at 250Mhz with 2-2-2-5)

If you want to use 1:1 and lower voltage.

Thanks Sharp. The latest newegg review says the Geil Ultra are no longer using samsung tccd chips but winbond-5 and they need volts. I really can't spend for the ocz platinum. Is Geil officially represented on the dfi-street ? thx

so after reading your excellent memory guide I am thinking about getting the OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 Platinum [2x1GB]...since I am not planning on overclocking or overclocking very little

Question: lets say I do get the Crucial BallistiX PC4000 [2x1GB] memory...since I am not going to overclock will getting this memory actually decrease my performance in anyway?...because what if in the future I do decide to overclock I want to be able to have the correct memory already in my system

in other words the PC4000 can help in overclocking but it won't hurt performance in any way running at DDR 400 will it?

what memory do you recommed me getting for my new system? (manufacturer and PC3200/4000 etc etc.)

planned system specs

DFI Lanparty UT NF4-SLI DR

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+

memory?

Seagate Barracuda 300GB 7200.9 SATA

BFG GeForce 7800GTX

Creative Soundblaster X-Fi XtremeMusic
