    How high is too high?

The only affect it will have on your system is stability. The lower number would not hurt your performance. What would a divider have to do with it?
  2. I would get a Hitachi drive and a 7800GT. You will definitely want the GPU horsepower.

    Geil RAM Problem

Please Read the Rules http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21207 Create a Signature http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...701&postcount=2 We need more information to be able to really help you.
  4. Let's make sure we are all on the same page. You can get into the BIOS. You then load optimized defaults, changed your VDimm, saved and rebooted? You did not load any saved CMOS Reloaded settings did you?
  5. There is a huge thread in the Mods forum on doing just that. It isn't something to worry about though.
  6. What safemode? Safemode is a Windows thing. You should have a VDimm setting, make it 2.7 or 2.8V
  7. Is it possible to use drives setup with one raid controller on a different one?
  8. Did you try to reflash yet? If DFI is willing to send you a BIOS chip, maybe you should let them. That would allow you to rule out the BIOS as a problem at least.
  9. Here is what each of the LEDs mean System startup 4 led’s on, no CPU detected CPU is detected 3 led’s on, memory not working DRAM is detected 2 led’s on, VGA not working VGA is detected 1 led on, unable to load OS Here is the 'official' DFI way of clearing the CMOS, is this how you did it? 1. pull power 2. pull battery 3. clear cmos jumper for minimum of 30-60 seconds 4. replace cmos jumper to normal position 5. replace battery 6. replace power 7. boot to bios and load optimized defaults Another thing you could try is clear the cmos.. Then before you press the power button to turn your rig on.. Hold the INSERT key and then press the power button while you are still holding down the INSERT key.. If it boots and you see the post screen then let go of the INSERT key and press delete to see if you get into bios

    Eff Six

You should not need to hit F6 if you are only using a single drive.

    no boot :(

The PSU can matter a lot, as can your BIOS version, etc. The more information you provide, the more chance there is that someone may notice something. What exactly is your PSU? Wattage does not tell much about a PSU. Did you try it outsude the case on a static free surface?
  12. Can you take it to the local distributer and have them look at it for you?
  13. The card should have worked in that slot at 8x.
  14. I've only heard of that happening when using the 4v jumper.
