Yeah you would, expecially with gas prices fluxuating as much as they are...I would probably get one if it would end up paying for itself over time, or if I had room in my car for it...lol
-
That would be fun to attempt to assemeble, thats crap how the government is stopping the sales of it because you can make a bomb, you can make a bomb out of a bunch of things, but they are stopping the sales of those items...
-
good luck...and keep on pushing that bad boy
-
that would make things easier, but who likes easy?
how big do you think the case is going to be?
-
lucky him...thats going to be a big job
-
dont you think it would be a pain in the butt having to wait for windows to load every time you start the car?
-
I like the ideas, especially the oc^2...I really like that
-
Im sorry but what does RMA stand for?
and where is the sexiest asian on OCC? maybe he could tell us when its not booting, does he even get video, etc...we dont know if its in the middle of loading windows or if its when he is trying to go though POST

I have never owned a Nvidia card, all I have had has been ATI (The only one I have ever bought)
So Nvidia is a choice but I would just rather stick to what I have right now.
-
Thats strange, I thought that orthos did a full system check...
what do you mean by it does not boot? no video, hangs...it could be a failing hdd...
-
I have that exact same board and I like it for ocing...i have a AMD Athlon 64 3500+ oc to 2.42...and its stable
I like that mod idea, that fan is extrely annoying, every once and a while mine will get a really bad whine sound to it, and I know its that one because i unplug it and the whine stops...plug it back in and it starts back up...but good idea and I might have to do it if I keep this board...I need PCI-E, AGP is making me mad...
-
I didnt mean that I wanted to keep the AGP thats why I need a new board, I want to go to PCI-E, I would keep this board if I wanted an AGP board, it works good and have not had many problems with it

I wanted to do this a while back, but lost intrest in the idea after I looked at prices for everything...
I want to see how you monut the screen and pics of the comp in the trunk; I agree with sdy, it wouldnt hurt to add an exaust fan in there, I would get a black one with no lights and then put a filter over it so you cant see anything...
-
keep your eye on the prize and make this bad boy work
-
cooking steak is alot cheaper than cooking a processor...lol
what does your comp do when you turn it on?
-
plus the ones you buy from the stores are just generic boxes and not designed with the perfect airspace for the woofers, thats why its always better to have the box custom made by the store or you...

I am looking for a new board due to the fact that I need a new video card, Im still AGP so i figured I would stick with a 939 so I dont have to upgrade too many things...also I need to get a new hdd, I think mine is starting to die...but both the video card and hdd have served me well for the past 3 years I think...something like that...thanks for the input on socket 939
-
agreed verran...but it is still always fun to make things yourself...if you have the time/money/know-how
-
I was browsing New Egg earlier today and there seems to be a very limited choice in the DFI socket 939 mobos with an ATI North Bridge...whats going on?
I know that there used to be around 4-5 mobos with the ATI North Bridge but now there is only 1

If you do decide to build a speaker box, when I worked at New Generation Car Audio in Flint, we used 3/4" CDF to build the boxes and liquid nail on all the edges and then you can wrap it in anything if you want it to look nice, but it does not need to be wrapped in anything...
-
I would like it at 500 because then I would be closer to being able to change it however it does give people who want to change it a reason to be active in the forums and give you something to look forward to...1000 is a good number...

Im guessing that Nerm is hitting the problem, because I have not ever had this problem before and have never had the floppy connected, I have no use for it so I never connected it, but brought it to college with me just incase there was something that would need it...
-
ok ill have to try that...
I dont have any raid setup I only have 2 IDE HDD and no floppy drive hooked up, its sitting in my desk drawer, but just sitting there...
