  1. easier said than done my friend. we have 118 people actively folding right now. The #1 team [H] has literally over 10 times that @ 1156 people actively folding

Thats why we need to do some major recruiting...i dont know make it public on the forums that if you are a folder you get the the sig bar, the image under your avatar, and you get to join the private section of the forums...we need to do something to get more folders...

  2. true that...there has to be a reg entry that could grant you full access...

I uninstalled RC1 but if you still have it installed maybe try Start > Run > control userpasswords2 > Advanced Tab > Advanced button > find username and right click properties > Member tab...etc.

Dont even know if control userpasswords2 works on Vista, i know it does on XP, its work a shot...

  3. I know you are you punk! I watched everyday as you slowly passed me and now I can't catch up! Seriously, though, anything that we can do to help the team is an asset. We need to go recruiting again!

Yes we do need to do some recruiting...we need to be the number one team, for the cause of course...

The forum mods should post something really big above the tech news articles about F@H and say that we are need you for the OCC F@H team and for joining you will be able to put the folding member sig bar in your signature...maybe some people will join, or go over to the OCC n00b and begin talking about F@H

  4. Im up to 18.5 hours and it is slowing my computer down very bad, but what do you expect when its testing both the ram and cpu...my cpu usage is 100% and my RAM usage is 96.2891% (986/1024) I got that info using statbar...

  5. I downloaded RC1 64 bit edition and I didnt like it at all...it was alot differnt than xp...i agree with bigred, it is not that stable, at least RC1 was not, so i didnt even try RC2, but I can only imagine that it was not much better

  6. if it is an inductor coil... you can tape or glue them to reduce/eliminate the noise:

There should still be a file attached that you can hear what the sound in question is...if that matches what you hear, then chances are that that is what your problem is...

  7. open her up and try to find out where the sound is coming from, i know its a bi7ch to bit it back together but if its that annoying, it might be worth it...just remember where everything goes

took me about 10 min to take mine apart (so many screws) and then took me like 25 to put back together...

  8. thank you for correcting me with my sig...like i have said before i have no idea what im doing when it comes to the ram...all of this is new to me...i wouldnt even know about RAM timings except for the fact that some people have them in their sigs and talk about them when they are posting their cpu stats

Would anyone suggest using A64Tweaker to adjust my mem timings?

  9. what are the settings at in the BIOS? under the DRAM tab (or what ever its called) is it frequency, CAS Lat., RAS to CAT, RAS Pre, Tras, Trc, and Command Rate?

Im really new to the messing around with the memory...that would explain why it seems that my computer is running slower...

so is this the program that I should download?

Also I had just downloaded clockgen so I dont know the commands on the program that well yet...I will mess with this stuff later tonight, I still have to go to my Chem 121 class at 6:00pm - 6:50pm so I need to do the homework...but I hope that all of this is going to make some sort of a differentce in the speed of my computer...

  10. cool thanks guys...

I have a question about clockgen, I was just messing with the PLL settings and decided to "oc" a little bit...i slid the slide bar to the right for just a little bit, and clicked apply settings, and it seemed like it saved and clockgen said that it did and registered the cpu at 2354MHz but then I opened up CPU-Z and it was still reading at 2420MHz...what happened?

Its not that big of a deal due to the fact that I will not be using clockgen to overclock but I still want to know why
