ir_cow Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 I regret to inform people that folding for BTC is not profitable anymore. I switched to a another coin Friday and on track to double what FLDC was doing. I think the FLDC coin was flawed from the start giving out so many a day and might be the reason why it just keeps going down in value. Everyone like me dumps the coins the second they get it. Anyways I crunched the numbers of FLDC without Curecoin and it doesn't look good. These are for 3x 1080 Tis (I already sold my forth one) and at the current rate I have been losing a stready 2-3K payout every month which is where I guessed 19K. 90Million * 210 = FLDC 19,000 Coins @ 0.00000155 = BTC 0.02945 162.51370647 Power @ .13c a KW Each card uses around 200~ folding = .64c per day per card. So 64c * 3 *30 = $56.16 Total profit = 106.33 / 3 = $35~ a month per card. This is down from $100 just 2 months ago. Add in curecoin, it helps a bit. Currently I get 100 coins every week almost like clockwork. so I did the calculations based on that. 400 cure @ .23c = $92 or 30.6 per cardTotal after power is $65~ per card a month. Right now I am doubling that just mining. If somehow FLDC somehow returns above 0.00000300 I'll consider switching back.

Braegnok Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 (edited) Most miners running Hush coin are using 7-slot boards with risers, mid-range cards and an open-air rack chassis. https://twitter.com/MyHushTeam Edited October 17, 2017 by Braegnok
road-runner Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Yea I thought about that but why spend more money if I mine I will go with what I have

scr4wl Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Now I've got the 4x 1080tis mining zcash on nanopool. I'm getting 2,500 sol/s as my longterm average. The nanopool calculator, right now, says $230.582/month $7.68/day. I'm getting about .02zec/day for the past several days. I've got a 1070 and 1080 still doing fldc + cure, getting a little over 7 cure/day And 3x rx 470's and 3x rx 480's mining expanse + Decred on dwarfpool and suprnova. In the last 24 hours they earned $5.60 of expanse (according to dwarpool calc) and somewhere around 30-50 cents of decred. It gets about 140MH/s on expanse and 3206.91MH/s on decred I get about 2.6 expanse/day and .1 decred every few days. It's not always best to mine the most profitable coins/day fiat wise. road-runner Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 (edited) If I sold it right now last months fldc is worth about $400.00 its 43,163 fldc for 6 - 1080ti.. Edited October 17, 2017 by road-runner
scr4wl Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 If I sold it right now last months fldc is worth about $400.00 its 43,163 fldc for 6 - 1080ti.. That is basically what you would have made mining with those cards (assuming you didnt mine a coin that got pumped and just went for the best fiat/day yeilds) With cure you would have made even more. Which is why i'm still experimenting with folding on the 1080 and 1070. The only reason I took my 1080tis off of folding is because I couldn't get it stable. Random GPUs would constantly drop off the bus. They mine just fine though.
