ccokeman Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 the reviewer won't give a rats ass, 96k is worth breaking the rules for. Its about integrity, Some don't have it. It makes it harder for those of us who do. You can imagine the list of reviewers who got one is pretty short.

Stonerboy779 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 How do you guys know it was a reviewer? Their woman's intuition? Actually I wondered this from the get go and kinda assumed it was more likely some employer of AMD.
d6bmg Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 How do you guys know it was a reviewer? There are two possibilities. 1. AMD employee - they won't dare to sell the card. If they did, they will instantly get caught and would be fired. 2. Random reviewer - Many reviewers get ES or media samples. And they can get away easily and the most recent occurrence being the braking of NDA by Tom's. Any other possibilities?

ccokeman Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 How do you guys know it was a reviewer? Even if not it makes it harder on us as reviewers because people don't have the integrity they should have. By letting it slip out we get shorter timelines and less information up front. Any way you look at it I hope whomever let it loose gets black balled. But then if it is a controlled slip.......

Companies get the boards long before launch so its just as easy for one to go missing from a test lab.
Black64 Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I wish I knew more people that are geeky enough to understand why this is so crazy and cool. When I show this stuff to my friends they just think it's insane.
paulktreg Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I can't see anybody paying that sort of money! If the sale was for real then AMD would have seen it or at least been informed about it and either attempted to stop it or by some means or another put bids in to spoil the sale.
