Bosco Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Both Airman and I put the GTX 680 through its paces. Who is king of the hill now, read the review and find out: http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/nvidia_gtx680/

Erosannin Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 When I read this review I was almost Crying (alright maybe not LOL), man this card is a monster and it is not even with extremely optimized drivers yet. I can,t wait to have mine!!!!!!
XcaninoX Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 hey folks can you please confirm is this is DX11.1 or DX11.0? i saw the GPU-Z reporting as DX11.1, but it's not enough, could be a bug or something, could you guys please double-check this? Thank you

Nyt Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Great review But the 7970 can kiss goodbye to the performance crown regardless of stock vs stock or oc vs oc... But Im staying with my good ol 7970's Cant wait to see the GPU price wars and the GK110 in the future
90sgamer Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Wow, this card is extreme. I had the EVGA GTX 680 from newegg in my cart, checked out, and one click away from completing the order... but I just couldn't do it. With GK110 on the horizon and a probable massive price drop for the Radeon 7970, I want to wait and see what happens.
Muchoman1 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 just wondering, can sli 680s handle more screens? cause if i can i will run 5, 3 in surround with 2 extras
El_Capitan Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Yeah, wonder how far the 7970's prices will drop. Probably not lower than $450. The GTX 580's though, should be $300.

Yep, that's what I'm hoping for. $450 - $460 sounds reasonable. I might pick up a 7950 if they get close to the $350 dollar range. MJCRO Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Great review airman, that card sure is a beast, but I'm leaning towards all these GK110 rumors with 2034 SP's. If it ends up being something like that, what's waiting another few months for a card that'll surely be WAY ahead of the game?
