flareback Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Seems to be quite a bit of spam today and it made me think. Is there a way we could block users from creating links in posts or adding images until they've been a member for a couple days? MercuryDoun Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 But a lot of new members post links to newegg and what not, product pages. And ask for opinions and advice on new builds. You'd stop a few spammers, but alienate new members.
DanTheGamer11 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Yeah reported that guy with the food essay posts... also some probably Russian/Ukrainian guy cause it was just a lone website link... wished OCC has link preview function or at least the name of the website
bp9801 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Best thing to do is just hit the Report button on a post and let the mods handle it. Our mods are spread out around the world fairly well, so there are always a couple on OCC or near/at a computer at least.

Reporting it is all that's needed...bumping it only annoys people.
