TheFlowerKing Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 That's what I do all the time, it still fails when unstable and still passes when stable.

Most posts i've seen about prime95 say to use it with the priority set at 10. At priority 10 u can't do anything on your comp. The Johnny Lee version of prime will let u know more info than the standard version. I think u have enter a password on the standard edition to be able to set priorities higher. Try the Johnny Lee at priority 10.

Fight Game Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 well I'd say that if you can do other things while it's running, and you get 8+ hours stable, then this would give me even more assurance that it's stable. Go for it.
Prospector Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I surf the web or play music while Priming.
soundx98 Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 If the priority is set to "1" and you're doing a bunch of other stuff I don't think you are priming at all. If you want to run Prime set it to "10" and go to bed.
BiBi Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Do I just set it in Task Manager to Realtime? or is there a setting in Prime? If the priority is set to "1" and you're doing a bunch of other stuff I don't think you are priming at all. If you want to run Prime set it to "10" and go to bed. THunDA Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Do I just set it in Task Manager to Realtime? or is there a setting in Prime? On Johnny Lee's version I believe it defaults to priority 10.. On the regular prime you need to goto "Advanced" then "Password" .. If I remember right the password is "9876" ..After you put this in it will give you the options in the "Advanced" menu to change the priority.... soundx98 Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 My Stress Prime 2004 defaults to "1". Set it to "10" and good luck priming.
