Recommended Posts

welcome aboard ianocean! i must say those are pretty nice timings for your memory

danny5, i've only jus finished my first cpu burn in at 1.6v (1.62V in MBM). i've tried at 1.55V but got rebooted several times and had a lock up. so i'm trying 1.6 first.will run prime95 now and see how it goes.

All seems good for me now Rizzo, Prime been running all day, and there is joy. Well, as much joy as you can have at 2.43 ghz anyway, lol.

Good luck.

I ended up using 1.4v @ 123%, which ironically is what the starter of this thread had began the topic about. But to add to that, it made no difference at all what voltage/percentage I used, the OC was based solely upon how many volts were being pumped into the CPU.

danny5 i must say i think the thread u posted made a helluva a difference in lower ing the vcore for my chip. initially i was not able to prime beyond the first set of tests at all with 1.35x123%(1.62v). think less than ten minutes. after running cpu burn i could prime it no prob--i exited prime at 40 mins cos i dun wanna waste my whole sunday not able to game haha. i'll see if i can finally hit 280x9 @ 1.62V or even 1.55v (long shot heh).

Hello all, this is my first post.Nice party you've got here  I'm old school OC-er(since my first OC CPU was 266 Mhz Pentium).I dunno my CPU stepping but is this good enough for DFI rookie 10x268Mhz Cas1.5 1.4v CPU voltage:

How did you manage 268mhz @ 1.5-2-2-5 ? I thought most utt topped out at 250mhz 2-2-2-x.

My memory working much better at CAS 1.5 than 2.0(topped 260Mhz at CAS 2.0 stable). It's CAS 1.5 optimized and as you can see on the pic-CAS 1.5 rated

I know this thread hasnt been used in ages, but I just wanted to show my results so far anyway.

OC is in my sig, but Everest is only showing 1.47vcore, although its at 1.525 in BIOS??

Must try the other method using the special control and see if I can squeeze a little more out of this CPU.

SuperPI stable @ 8m (havent tried any others with it), 3dmark '05, 3dmark'03, and BF2 for a few hours no problems...
