Just my opinion,2500 Mhz is a pretty healthy oc,probably btw 35-40%

do you have any problems when running stock

Yes i suffer from the exact same problems while running stock and i even

tried running well below stock speeds to see if that would cure my problems

but still exactly the same unfortunately.

Im prime stable and memtest really loves me, :P well over 12 hours on both

at stock speeds and overclocked but i dont think it is my overclocking that

is at fault it appears to be some kind of power problem maybe with the board.

Everything runs fine in my other motherboard without a glitch,.

You can try turning APIC off . It helps with high FSB, may be it will help.

In the device manager open up "computer" and change "ACPI Uniprocessor PC" to "Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC" . You have to select " Dont search . I will choose the driver to install" Then reboot . Windows will then load OK with ACPI still enabled , but APIC will be off .

Driver rollback can be used to re-load APIC on , but I think system restore must be on for that to work .

Also you do not need to turn off APIC in the BIOS , WinXP does it all .

Seriously i've just about tried everything short or praying to get things

working but with nothing to show for it but a tired head and a pc that

by now hates beeing rebooted, ;).

I've got to accept defeat and i just have, earlier i ordered a new nf7-s

and it will be here tomorrow, if i suffer from the slightest problem similar

to the ones im having now, i will put everything back into the dfi board

and start all over again, but i dont see that it's anything more than

a problem with the board in some way or another because i am currently

using a friends nf7-s with all my components in it, cpu, memory ,grfx hdd

mouse & keyboard etc etc and im not suffering from any problems what so

ever, so im gonna give it till tomorrow night and then send this other dfi

board back and hope that they can tell me whats wrong.

Ok guys, ive got Hellfires infinity 3eg-rev3 @284k from SAE. using winflash and awdflash dont work. winflash says size does not match mainboard, and awdflash generates a similiar error. any suggestions?

Hmm, it's been in a zip file, could you extract it without errors? I am 100% sure, it's the original infinity file, the peeps who got it from me never complained. Shall I resend it to ya, mate? :)

SAE, if you could resend, id appreciate it, ill give it another go :) ... although, i just flashed the latest official 11/24 w/out probs, so im not sure what was going wrong... DOH! maybe there were errors when i unzipped cuz im testing new ram at the moment also and it might have been set at an unstable level. duh.

AW, the zipped file i have had just one file in it, which i assumed was the bin file and just needed to have the .bin extension added to it and shortened by changing the name, knocking off the 3EG-rev3 from the end. was i correct? or is that just another zipped file that winrar is recognizing? As far as i could see, there was no second zipped file inside of the first zipped file, just that one file.

thanks,

tobias
