road-runner Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 You did not do the intake?
airman Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 (edited) You did not do the intake? nah, i'm gonna be buying new manifolds within the next 2-4 months. no need to do the p/p on those for now. ported evo o2 housing, big 16g turbo, front mount ic all to come next summer. front mount will probably come before everything else, because i go ahead and get my hardpipes in there, so i can add a nice sexy blow off valve Edited January 4, 2008 by airman
romeo55 Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Looks good. I'm sort of a noob when it comes to in depth car true performance mods... Did you go to a local shop or some special place?
kingdingeling Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Which card is this for?
airman Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Looks good. I'm sort of a noob when it comes to in depth car true performance mods... Did you go to a local shop or some special place? took it to a race shop for the port and polish, then hauled it to a machine shop for the valve job and resurfacing. Which card is this for? '95 turbo eclipse. it seems that some munchkin or gremlin figured it would be funny to steal my secondary water pump pulley (pulley takes power from water pump driven by the OTHER water pump pulley from the driveshaft and runs it to power steering pump) and now i'm stuck. the only thing i have left to do is hook up these belts. i can't order the part until monday at noon, then it won't be here till tuesday. luckily i've got a friend who has a 97 turbo eclipse parts car that i should be able to borrow one from his. should be running later this evening if i tough it out. Puck Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Was it local shop ported or an actual cylinder specialist? It doesnt look like they hit the valve guides very thoroughly, but maybe they just dont have the meat around the stems available to remove as the smallblocks do - cant say I know much about eclipse heads. Unless the point was for velocity and not volume - in that case I can see the reason why they were not hogged out Now that I think about it, being forced induction that would make sense. Looks clean and consistant!

Looks clean and consistant! i took it to a local racing shop. they know what they're doing yeah, you're right. they left some bulk around the valve guides because i asked them to the shop did the porting and polishing, and a machine shop just up the street from them did the resurfacing, 3 angle valve job, and valves put in.
