I see millions of people with black label names, and volcom names... don't care much if you don't skate, just wondering if you do. sykocus Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 i wear some bands that are accssociated with skating...i don't see how that makes me a poser. its a style i like, and am comfortable in. i think it'd be totally different if i read sating magizines, had sating posters/pictures up on my room, etc and never picked up a board. Bassdude1000 Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 i used to back in 8th grade when it was the thing to do and before i got my first comp.. so i still have some of the posters up and i wear volcom stuff and the shoes and crap.. but hey there more comfortable than those adidas that you see at school whenever you look down. I don't really care what it is i wear, its just habit to go to local store that sells skate stuff and buy clothes there and stuff. I had a Sk8board with a cobra on it that was my last one.. and my first on had the teenage mutant ninja turtles on it.. I skated a long time ago but I just wear skate clothes cause most other clothes are .... plus my uncle owns a skate shop and I get hooked up w/ lots of stuff.... I dont go around acting like a skater or anything, I think the way people label people is stupid, and when people label themselves... I mean who cares anyway???? If someone just likes to skate, how does that make them .??? I'd understand if you hate certain group of skaters or individual skaters go around acting hella dumb and smokin pot all the time etc just so they can label themselves as a skater, then go back and label others so they can fool themselves into thinking it matters.... Personally I hang out w/ some people who are skaters who dont go around and use it as a way to label themselves, and I know a whole lot more people who are hella annoying and cant even skate who claim to be skaters just cause no one liked them when they were younger... Those people piss me off the most because they go around labeling everyone and rarely one will say somethin to me cause I wear volcom and try and call me a poser, when I used to actually skate when I was in 5th grade until like 8th grade and could do more than they could when they say crap to me, and the fact that they have only been a 'skater' for a few years at most and people have been labeling me a 'skater' since elementary school (note that most people who labeled me a 'skater' or 'rocker' back then later decided it was cool to skate and not listen 2 sh1tty music....) but ya, noone labels me a 'skater', 'rocker', etc anymore cause they know they'll get slapped for being such an idiot...
