gotdamojo06 Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 thank you for the correction...thats ok before a week ago, for some reason I thought that I had a Sandy, someone told me that the AMD Athlon 3500+ only came as a Sandy...they are obviously wrong... Finally just finished the 24 hr test...

kingdingeling Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 cheeseman, under water its a different story I was on air! @ mojo, THIS is what you want, and then any decent 92mm fan on there, for exmaple THIS one. The foxconn fan is on the lower end of the quality spectrum though, but Xoxide doesn't offer any 92mm Panaflo/Vantec/Papst fans... you might want to check over at www.coolerguys.com for the same heatsink with a better fan. gotdamojo06 Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 I would order that right now from xoxide, however they are out of stock...coolerguys has some in stock, would the all copper one make all that big of a differnce? I know the copper works better as far as getting the heat off the processor... http://www.coolerguys.com/840556031208.html http://www.coolerguys.com/840556031239.html (copper one)
kingdingeling Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 WOA! No man, that kind of price difference is not worth it! Normal XP90 will do you good enough!

gotdamojo06 Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 http://xoxide.com/thermalright-xp-90c-cpu-cooler.html Im going to get the XP-90C...Im going to as you may like to say spend a little extra for the copper...the only question that I do have is do I need to get any retention Brackets? The xoxide link has a AMD socket AM2 or a LGA775 retention brackets...I have a MSI Neo2 plat. (socket 939) so do I need to get a retention bracket?
