Bleeble Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Yeah, spend an hour looking for better prices to save yourself $50-100. Aside from that, I think it looks like a good setup.
cchalogamer Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 looks ok, if anyone tries to change your mind on the Infinity series board slap them with a really big stick, but i now wish I had bought the SLI version (bought an x850xt the night i bought the board, had the x850xt die, was "traded in" on a 7800GT so yeah :'()
Nerm Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Well, the Ultra-D is better than the Ultra-Infinity IMO. I would also recommend a Plextor brand drive rather than the NEC one. Thirdly there are better PSU's out there especially for OCing than that Antec 480W. Other than those three things it looks good to me. fatsheep Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 (edited) Thanks for the tips just a few things I want to point out: I've got a budget and I wouldn't like to spend much more then I already am. Plextor makes nice drives but for my purposes they are too expensive, I'm not really looking for high performance in my optical drive. I just want it to be reliable, and not make too much noise basically Ultra-D would be cool, but for the extra ~$20 I would pay what would I get? I'm not really interested in SLI, so I don't see any point in it... About the PSU, you're probably right. Would a Fortron AX-500 Be a better choice? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817104934 -sheep Edited November 2, 2005 by fatsheep

flareback Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 different keyboard. I like the Saitek Eclipse I know it costs a lot more and you'd have to buy a seperate mouse but it looks better. I guess if you just want a good cheap one then the one you have is fine.
General912 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 wait for the x1800, they got alot of pontential and from what ive seen they have been built very efficently, thus driving the price down alittle. Only the XL model is out right now but Im gunna get one of thsoe and put it in with a XT for crossfire , As for a keyboard the Saitek is a very nice keyboard. But I like this one better http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products...CONTENTID=10717 I wana mod it so its red
