I dont think that theyre worth the money, cause you have fans in your system to take care of that little bit of heat. IMHO if your gonna cool your HD with one of those then you might as well put heatsinks on sound card and cd-drive.

EDIT: next time read what it says on the site:

Compatible with all 3.5" hard drive

Fits in a standard 5.25" drive bay

In my opinion, Hdd coolers are sold for looks , some HD's may need a little more room (air)to breathe but most are made to work for a long time with just good case cooling.

Instead get a good 80mm intake in front of your case for the drives ;)

But if you like the looks and gadgetery, go for it :D

actually...if you're that rich, and you bought 6TB worth of raptors...i'd slap ya silly, for not buying 15k rpm SCSI drives instead

Consider that a double slap, but still for most builds a case fan infrount of the HDDs is plenty, and about the sound card RAM sinks... guess what.. actualyl improved my friends performance a bit, less noise ( pun) in the speekers

EDIT: but then again we are both Band geeks and can tell the difference between 44Khz and 192Khz fairly easly
