WhiteBear Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Is the 780 better then the Titan or are they equal ?
SpikeSoprano Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 The titan is faster than a 780, but not by much, and a 780-ti is faster than a titan, again not by much.
WhiteBear Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 (edited) There both almost identical in speed. It comes down to whether you way to pay more for a tiny bit of speed or not. Edited March 23, 2014 by WhiteBear
IVIYTH0S Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 That's why you should only be deciding between the 780 or 780Ti and remove the TItan from the equation due to its price (also don't forget the 290X)
ccokeman Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 As far as performance goes 780Ti R9 290X Depending on clock speed Titan 780 R9 280X 770 If you are going with an NVIDIA card the 780Ti is the best gaming card they currently make. WhiteBear Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I don't care for games, I suppose it's either the 780 or Titan ?
Nyt Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I don't care for games, I suppose it's either the 780 or Titan ? If it's not for games then what is it for ? Choosing a Titan over the cheaper and better performing 780 Ti is silly unless you make use of the Titan's excessive VRAM and precision capabilities Or just get the Titan Black, fastest of all of them with 6Gb VRAM and precision capabilities

If not for games then your usage model is not games do you really need that kind of GPU power? If using it as a co processor for GPU accelerated tasks the Titan would be the better choice. WhiteBear Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 3D / Digital Design. You still recommend a Titan Black over a 780 ? What I'm saying the new 780 has 6 gigs of Vram !

The Titan Black has 6 gigs of VRAM too, and faster clocks than both the 780 and the faster 780 Ti.
