ir_cow Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I have been using the Asus S56 . The battery life is 4 hours and it has a Intel HD 4000. I use photoshop and lightroom on the go, It's nothing like a i7 but it gets the job done for the price. I got it on sale for $400 so for $600 I would try to get a i5 version. Â I am able to play starcraft 2 on med settings (look up HD 4000 benchmarks) and putting 16gb of ram is easy enough.

Black64 Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I would go for a used ASUS on eBay, you could get a i5 with a decent GPU for around 600-700.

Black64 Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 If you stick to the good gaming brands, ASUS, MSI, ACER (there are others) in your price range you should be fine. You might find some good deals on Amazon.
IVIYTH0S Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I often see the Lenovo Y580s and Y500s for $700-$800 with sweet specs, almost bought one myself before I bought my Dell 15RSE (not a heavy laptop gamer though, so I rather save $200...plus I'm sour against mobile nvidia graphics)
Pteroduck Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 All i can find are the laptops priced around 900-1000+ dollars D:Can't find anything too decently priced. MSI on amazon is insanely priced for that price range and so is Asus.No luck so far
