2.2kW Holodeck VII

Had several requests to post this when I got 'er up and running.

I have a lot of sleeving and whatnot to do, but here it is for now despite a power outage/surge toasting the motherboard and two of my 7970's yesterday. Oddly enough we just had a transformer replaced from a ice storm last week. Anyway a trip to MicroCenter and the better part of an all nighter and she is up and running again.

Aye finally haha

looking good red but don't be skimping on photos now. You're never one to do that in a review.

Would love a sorta mini case review of the holodeck :)

Also I think you should invest in a crossfire bridge its kinda bugging me seeing the ribbon cables there haha.

Sorry to hear about what happened to the cards and mobo hopefully there are no other lingering problems that have been caused.

Are the FSP psu's 500 watts each or should this be a 3.2Kw build.

Nope, they are 500W each....I don't want to get into overkill ya know

Okay, there ya go M. AMD does not make a hard PCB CF bridge like Nvidia, I am working on making one though.

Nope, looked all over and oddly enough it seems it's the one thing that nobody makes. There is even one cat over at OCN that has a petition for the manufacturing of one hehe

no....but you know my OCD

4 x OC 7970's = 1200w

FX 8350 OC'd @ 5.2GHz = 350w

fans, three pumps, and all the peripherals and its about right to have 2.2kW
