El_Capitan Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 This isn't like one of those driver updates where the benchmarks get better but the visual quality gets worse, is it? Also, it sucks for the people that already bought a 7800/7900 GPU series. Way to reward the early birds!
AkakmanH Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I am currently on 12.4 - next important update is Nov 1. I also do auto-updates - keeps me from getting behind and, for some reason, I trust the Catlyst people.
John_again Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) Guys, these drivers are pretty good! I tested them and i have some benchmarks run too and the difference from 12.8 to 12.11! This one is with 12.8 with no overclock on the card. 12.8 With Overclock. Now. This one is with 12.11 with No Overclock. 12.11 with Overclock! I was really surprised that with 12.11 and without overclock there is a 13 difference in score with the Overclocked 12.8! I tested it with games too, like Skyrim, MW3 and Assassin's Creed 2 brotherhood... everything worked fine with no issues... P.S. Ignore the freaky frame rates from feature tests... i have this issue a week or more now... Edit: It happened once, drivers were not recognized till i restarted my computer, and the clocks were "locked" at 300Mhz on Gpu and 150 on Memory. Even when i run a game... But it happened only once! 90sgamer Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 The 12.11 drivers are offline, AMD requested the link at Guru3d be taken down too. They discovered some bugs and are going to release a new build later today.
