Out of curiosity, is the HL2: DM game the one that I contributed or someone else? It doesn't say who it is from in the list and just want to know if I should send mine over to F13Bubba.

Sure they can. They just go to your steam inventory.

Well maybe it's just me then but it greys out people that already own the game I'm trying to gift.

This. Sorry Waco, but it doesn't let you gift to someone who already owns it, directly through Steam. You could send it via email to the person (has to be the email they use for the Steam account) because then it can't check, but not everyone may want to share that email. But still, we can just use some TF2 items or something, or the Portal 2 coupons that everyone recently got.
