Nyt Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 well apparently the 680 was going to match 7970 launch price, so the evga one would be $600ish imo Wasnt the 7970 launch price around $650 ? Then the EVGA classified would be $
Muchoman1 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Wasnt the 7970 launch price around $650 ? Then the EVGA classified would be $700 $550 in america nyt it launched for 850-900 in perth though

MJCRO Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) Here's a SLI run with two 680's OC'd. Nothing really special IMO, I expected more of Kepler and it's def. not the "4 times over Fermi" NV boasted about. XtremeDS Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I was almost expecting that. A few news I read didn't sound very reassuring the GTX 680 would be really that great, but it still is soon to take conclusions I think. However, they're still doing benchmarks using it in PCI-E 2.0 X16 too.

Kinda fail considering there are tons of PCI-e 3.0 boards out now
VaporX Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I think you are going tr find that while PCIe 3 looks good on paper in the real world the impact will be minimal.
