Ghost2520 Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 Will red gel pens glow red? I think it would be cool to trace the lines on the memory sticks RAM and just put a single UV LED next to it to make the wires look like they are burning hot. BeatRyder Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 Try this, draw on a peice of paper, and hold it to the uv light if it glows then you can use it
ClayMeow Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 i have a question for you guys that have "colored" their boards.... is there anything that you should NOT color/write on? Like if I wanted to use a gel pen...is there anything i shouldn't touch, or does it not matter since it's just ink?
wootas Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 I had problems getting highlighter ink to dry on the chips so I did this instead: UV reactive on the capacitators

____VinniE____ Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 isnt a cathode light UV???
wootas Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 A cathode light is not neccesarily always UV. Cold cathode is just a term for a neon type light that produces less heat. There are several colors of cold cathode available, UV is one of the available "colors" if you could call it that. It is just like a black light, glows sort of purple and makes anything that is UV reactive, or in some cases brightly colored, glow.
