Black64 Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 (edited) Well today I got my ASUS Xonar DG card in, installed it and windows and the BIOS don't see it. When I try to install the drivers it it says that the card is not found. I tried all of these... 1.Reseated the card about 10 times 2.Tried a different PCI slot (4 altogether) 3.Tried another PC, same issue, it can't see the card. 4.Googled it This thread has the exact same issue I do 5.Disabled the on-board sound 6.Used driversweeper to remove all sound drivers to insure there is no sound driver conflict. Still it points to the card/hardware failure. First time ASUS has failed me. Oh well, time to RMA...... MJCRO Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Happens to all of us. Best thing to do is to not think of it much and wait on the replacement.
Locutus Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 No company is perfect, that's why I always pick one with a good warranty.
Shurman292 Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Have you tried the unified drivers? They helped me with my Xonar D2X echoing issues, but as far as I can tell, your problem is hardware related

Shurman292 Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 The DG does not have an aux power input like the DX and the D2X do. In order to function properly, the latter two cards require more power than the PCI-E lanes can provide. The DG does not have this connector.
