KladionicaCIty Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) So i was thinking of getting an MSI n560 TwinFrozr.Since now i have a no-name chinese psu ,i'll have to get that as well.I was thinking about this one : http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/psu/core/P1-750S-CAB9.aspx#3 Now my question is,if in the future i decided to get another 560 for SLI ,would be this PSU able to handle it? If not, would it handle 2x MSI 5850 hawk Crossfire? Rest of my rig:Phenom x4 965 3,4,3GB ddr2 ram, mobo MSI 785gtm-e45,1x1tb samsung HDD ,1xWD caviar blue 160gb hdd. Thanks in advance. potatochobit Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 that PSU is fine for crossfire I believe it is a rebranded corsair TX750w V2
cery25 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 that psu can handle 2 x gtx560 or 2 x 5850 with no problem
jammin Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Another vote for that XFX being just fine for what you want it for. I believe it is a rebranded corsair TX750w V2 Both based on the same Seasonic platform, yes. Given the choice between the two (at the same price), I'd take the Corsair personally. El_Capitan Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 As long as you don't overclock in SLI/Crossfire as high as you can go, you'll be fine. A small overclock should be fine for 750W.
VaporX Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) While PSU Calculators are not always 100% accurate they come close enough to let you get a good feel for what you need. Edited March 28, 2011 by ComputerEd

I think that Antec one, based on the eXtreme power supply calculator, is actually pretty good!
IVIYTH0S Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 It will work just dandy, and do you already have a 5850CF setup or you're actually pitting them against two 560s??

Given the choice between the two (at the same price), I'd take the Corsair personally. Matter of fact, i was looking at both.I've decided for the xfx one, because i read good review on some thread that says xfx one is manufactured by seasonic, while the corsair is from CWT (i think). Anyway, thanks for your advices ,think i may found somewhere to order the 850W version of this PSU.
IVIYTH0S Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 If it's between a 560SLI setup or a 5850CF setup, get the 560SLI!! are you in the states??
