El_Capitan Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 A guy is selling his HD 5970 2GB for $190 or better offer. I told him $190 was too low, but I wouldn't buy it for more than $250. My reasons: 1. It's a buy from Craigslist, but I asked to see it in working condition playing a game before buying. 2. No warranty 3. Still won't be as fast as my two overclocked GTX 460 1GB's in SLI (which, if I bought two a week ago, would have been $240) However, I want to run tri-fire with my HD 5870 2GB. But tri-fire with a 5870 would be nice, but wouldnt the memory of the 5970 limit the 2gb on the 5870? Since each core on the 5970 has its own 1gb doesnt it?
