Nyt Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Hey guys , Im thinking of getting this Artic Accelero Xtreme 5970 cooler . I want the best cooling and overclocking headroom . I want to run my hd5970 at 975mhz and 1300mhz without having heat issues. What do you guys think of this cooler ? Thanks
premiumgfx Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Have you read this review by ccokeman? The 4GB 5970 reviewed comes pre-installed with the Accelero, and it cools excellently compared to the stock solutions.
Nyt Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Yeah , the results look great ! Im just concerned because the Xtreme 5970 comes with no warrantee and I've heard some horror stories about guys shorting out their DVI ports and the PCB bending
Nyt Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I just read a guide on how to install it without damaging anything . So it looks like if Im very careful , installation will be sucessful. What do the rest of you guys think ?

ebarone Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Go for it! OCC accepts no wimping out because of warranties or lack thereof.

What can the rv870 take?? Though if you want to go higher, obviously you can't. I'd buy the cooler so you can push the clocks higher for that same 90C+
