Locutus Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 For some reason every time I try to change my signature I get this message; An Error Occurred Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. [#10210] invalid_ext Didn't start happening till lately. No idea what's causing this, it started happening after I noticed that the image in my signature isn't an image anymore, but instead two different links. Guest_Jim_* Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 No problem here changing mine. i cant even find the option to edit from the forum change i guess.. Go to your profile, there is an "Edit my Profile" button on the right, beneath Forum Rules and View New Content, then "Change Signature" is on the left. Crazy_Nate Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 In prior forum software, when you would re-edit your signature (with a FAH sig), the software would modify the way the images are tagged. If you run the code generator again, it should work fine. I used to keep mine saved somewhere so I could edit my signature freely. Looks like it happened to come through the forum update... Guest_Jim_* Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 That would explain why I can edit my sig. I will quickly add that image to my sig, and see what happens. Edit: Same error when I tried to add that image. Edit 2: Just tried adding the image to this post, and it says, "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board." Yep, that sure sounds like the same error (thanks for confirming).

sdy284 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 i just re copy & pasted the code into my sig
sdy284 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 there ya go, got it fixed for ya. the problem seemed to be the bbcode version of the F@H sig. when I tried using that, it wouldn't work, even tho the actual image would load if you copy/pasted the url in your browser. Guest_Jim_* Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Does that mean the code at the folding page will have to be updated, because when I try adding that to my sig, it still throws the error. Specifically I've tried [url=http://www.overclockersclub.com/pages/folding/][img=http://www.overclockersclub.com/foldingimage.php?image=8&name=Guest_Jim_*.jpg][/url] [url=http://www.overclockersclub.com/pages/folding/][img=http://overclockersclub.com/foldingimage.php?image=8&name=Guest_Jim_*.jpg][/url] [url=http://www.overclockersclub.com/pages/folding/][img=http://www.overclockersclub.com/foldingimage.php?image=11&name=Guest_Jim_*.jpg][/url] [url=http://www.overclockersclub.com/pages/folding/][img=http://overclockersclub.com/foldingimage.php?image=11&name=Guest_Jim_*.jpg][/url] The code given on the folding page does not have the www. for the image location, which is why I also tried that. Let's see if a link to the image, which I have up in another tab, will work in this post. Image: [img=http://overclockersclub.com/foldingimage.php?image=8&name=Guest_Jim_*] Link: http://overclockersclub.com/foldingimage.php?image=8&name=Guest_Jim_* The link works, but the image does not, throwing "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board." It's the little things that aren't simple. I hope this information can help. Edit: Had to use the code tags to get this post without the error.
