potatochobit Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 for that price it might even be a better choice than building a desktop equivalent you can buy a 13" macbook pro for about the same price nowadays as well
CAINuKe Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 (edited) Haha, looks like I am not the only one who is computing in style now. Except I got the version with: 1080P screen (1920x1080) extra 500GB HDD (Total 1TB) i7 820M (Aftermarket, not stock) and 8GB DDR3 instead of 6GB The 5870M isnt exactly the equivalent to the desktop version. Its more of a 5770 than anything else. Edited April 9, 2010 by CAINuKe
i7920hd5970 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Looks like you got the rich mans version! Laptop sounds pretty sweet. Well anyways I overclocked the GPU to 800 on the clock and 1100 on the memory. Ran with furmark and tested with BFBC2. BFBC2 runs on all high settings and no AA or any other eye candy. I dont own BFBC2, can you post the framerates? Edited April 10, 2010 by CAINuKe

I dont own BFBC2, can you post the framerates? I`m not sure if there is some sort of benchmark but I do use fraps. I usually see around 55-60 FPS. When there is hardcore action like a bunch of building blowing up and about 15 people around it I see around 42-45... This is also overclocked at 800mhz...1100mhz memory. The overclock helps by about 3-4 FPS. It may be able to overclock more but i`m not really willing to try that just yet. So far this is the only game I have played and its been great. Awesome game. Fenderstrat123 is my bfbc2 name.
