SuperEmostastix Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) This Sticky needed to be updated for a while now so here it is, the new and improved Ati + Nvidia Sticky It is now much easier to get PhysX working with a Nvidia card while an Ati card is in the system because you no longer have to extend desktops to get hardware PhysX to work properly, which means no more accidentally dragging you cursor off the screen, and no more programs minimizing to your imaginary screen requiring a restart to see the program again The new PhysX mods work with the latest Ati 10.8 drivers as well as Nvidia's 258.96 driver package. So, on to the step by step guide. 1. Put your Ati card in one slot and the Nvidia card in the other slot. Got it? Ok, good 2. Have the vga, dvi or hdmi cable plugged into the Ati card and into the monitor, have no cord plugged into the Nvidia card, it just needs to be in the slot. 3. (Optional) Uninstall all Ati and Nvidia Drivers through programs and features, reboot in safe mode, run Driver Sweeper or Driver Cleaner, click on the Ati and Nvidia checkboxes, then click clean. Reboot when asked! 4. Install the latest 10.8 Ati drivers, http://www.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx 5. Reboot 6. Install the latest 258.96 Nvidia drivers, http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us 7. Install the latest 9.10.0513 PhysX standalone software, http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.10.0513-driver.html 8. Install GenL's v1.04ff Hybrid PhysX mod, http://www.ngohq.com/graphic-cards/17706-hybrid-physx-mod-v1-03-a.html Your Anti-Virus might detect this as a Trojan but just ignore it as it's a false positive. So disable your Anti-Virus if it's causing issues. Run the mod, click apply, wait for it to say done then exit. 9. Run Run Extras\PhysX-HwSelection-set-GPU.cmd 10. Reboot 11. Download and run Fluidmark (PhysX benchmark) to see if it's working. http://www.geeks3d.com/20100521/gpu-tool-physx-fluidmark-1-2-0-available-with-multi-core-cpu-support/ 12. Test all the PhysX games you have Edited August 27, 2010 by SuperEmostastix

SenitaL Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Thanks for this update, im using an Ageia card for now, it works perfect in all games except for Dark void, i can only see the 'Low' PhysX option. Also It can only manage batman on medium PhysX. Im hoping to get an 8800GTX OC, or an Alpha Dog but only if i can pick one up for cheap
containforum Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 You should use 196.34 drivers with latest PhysX system software and patch it with GenL 1.02 and Extended display fix only. Here is the link for the extended display fix: http://rapidshare.com/files/370927510/Hybr...Display_Fix.zip Have a great day.
