High-End Build!!

Since NVIDIA keeps failing this year and AMD's cpu's probably won't be out till june, I decided to go with a good, stable and hopefully future proof system. I did some research but I still need help, this tech is to expensive for mistakes.

My monitor is 24" Samsung 240HD that's running at 1920 x 1200 resolution, the system has to be Crossfire ready.

Ok, so here's what I got.

CPU - I7 920 (BX80601920 SLBEJ) - SLBEJ, as I understand, means D0 and that is a revision of the I7 920.

Mobo - Asus P6TD Deluxe - Don't know much about that but as I understand, it's the 3 revision of the P6T, that people seem to like.

RAM - CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (TR3X6G1600C7D) - Don't have the slightest idea...

HDD - Western Digital 640Gb Caviar Black (WD6401AALS) - people seem to love it and I can't afford an SSD.

GPU - XFX HD5970 Black Edition (HD-597A-CNB9) - But I don't know which manifacturer should I choose.

PSU - Corsair HX850W - I hope that 850W is enough, those 1000W are expensive.

Case - Antec 1200 - Some say get Antec 1200, other, HAF 932.

Headphones - Sennheiser RS 180

Desktop - Cordless Desktop

black edition of the 5970 is not worth it not that much performance increase hardly by 2 to 3 fps, would rather go the the powercolor 5970 LCS and overclock it,850w is more than enough thats unless ur goin to go quadfire, rams i would personally prefer corsair or g-skill

For psu, get Corsair. 850w should be more than enough.

For case, I personally would get the Antec 1200. I have the 900 and I love it. If you plan on overclocking your cpu, you'll have to get an aftermarket heatsink and some heatsinks won't fit in the HAF 932 because of that huge side fan, I could be wrong though...depends on the dimensions.

For gpu, xfx is good nonetheless and that card should handle almost anything you throw at it from what I've read.

For ram, take a look at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820145253

Hope this helps!

joel.monteiro - Thats good cause Black Edition this is the cheapest hd5970 I can find and please be more specific with your suggestions.

EDIT.

I edited RAM, PSU, Case.

Damn, that RAM is not cheap but if it's for a good cause.

dude $254 for RAM? no , please no. Its not that important. if that ram is so much better, great you will get 1fps better.

this or this will give you the same performance for a $100 less.

Yea they have a little looser timings but its not going to effect much. especially not a 100$ difference

RAM: If I won't be able to afford\get that Dominator, then I'll go with the ones ShallowBay posted.

I want to throw in a couple of questions.

1. If I get another, same HDD and I'm in crossfire(HD5970) and go RAID. Will the power supply handle it?? And is RAID that good??

2. I will order these one by one and I defiantly don't want regret my buy when I have half the stuff, so how good is the build, will I regret buying it, will the performance excuse the price???(sorry English not native  )

3. I had\have 1.9GHz AMD Sempron, 6600GT system and this will be my second build. Is it possible to get a hart attack from the crazy performance boost

4. Is this build ready as in, "Just buy it already!!!"???

5. I don't know how to build a pc but Crazy_Nate seem to have a pretty darn good Guide, but is it up to date???

EDIT

I edited the PSU, since I will be getting the Corsair HX850W version, not TX cause it seems to be better and it's blue. Maye someone can tell me the difference, besides the color?

The concepts hold for any computer build. I'll have a new one up in the future (with much newer hardware). With that said, nothing is going to be exactly the same (BIOS, hardware, platforms, etc), but the procedure should be very similar.
