road-runner Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I have the heatkiller copper block, and its a great block. I did not write down what the difference was but I had removed a GTZ and put the heatkiller in its place awhile back. It seemed to be better than the GTZ but I did not do a direct comparison, it was just one of those things where I changed it and instantly noticed hey this is much better... That's a good piece of information. I put the GTZ on my i7 920. It performs pretty good and I thought it was the best at the time. But I may try a heatkiller just based on your recommendation

Heck I am even using an old fusion ver.1 on an i7, it keeps it in check at 4.5Ghz crunching...

Maybe the block is obstructed? I've never used the "cup fill" measurement method But I do use a reservoir and water just rolls through there. My loop is pump>cpu>radiator>reservoir>pump Edited November 23, 2009 by wevsspot
