Assassin X Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Ok. Like anything else everyone has viewpoints on this. I know the TOS and am not sure if this is against them or not. I wanted to know if there is a program like Alcohol 120? I can't get that program to install on Vista. Like I said not sure if thats against TOS since really the program can be use for good or bad. If it is against TOS then delete the topic, I don't want to get in trouble.

Timmy94 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) I find the new alcohol 120 build 6221 or 1.9.7 works fine in vista and 7 for me. EDIT: Sorry, it is build 1.9.8 or 7612. Assassin X Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Ok cool. Well I kept trying to install both programs but it kept saying some weird error. I finally installed Alcohol under Safe Mode. But now it won't open at all. I just don't understand why there so many problems. >.<
ClayMeow Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Older versions of Alcohol won't run in Vista... In fact, some will BSOD it. Daemon Tools works great though.

hardnrg Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 For ISO loading: Daemon Tools +1000000 MagicDisc/MagicISO and PowerISO I only use for obscure compressed ISO formats like DAA and UIF... but like >99% of the time I use Daemon Tools Lite or Daemon Tools I have never needed to use Alcohol 120% For disc backups: ImgBurn, MagicISO, PowerISO
