The Smith Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 sorry , i did not mean the igp ones of course amd is the best in that area i meant in the area of installing 2 cards amd cpus can not keep up with 1 or even 2 compared to intel (775/1156/1366) Installing two video cards? Did you read my post? I've just said the X58 is not any better than the 790FX. Both do maximum 2x16 or 4x8. None will do 3x16 or 4x16. And what do you mean "amd cpus can not keep up with 1 or even 2"? One or even two what?

Waco Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Intel's latest, the ICH10R, supports: -6 SATA ports. The SB750 also does. Yes...but AHCI isn't fixed even in the newest revision. That's why you see AMD CPUs getting decimated in any testing that hits the disks.

road-runner Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I managed to get one, they would not let me have more than 1...
rourkchris Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 You're ordering one before you even know what they can do? Being that I know well what a 4890 can do, yes. I don't rely on everyone else's opinions or reviews before I buy. I already sold my 4890s so there's really no going back for me.
