ekiM Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 (edited) My troubled friend is building his first PC. I'm having a tough time convincing him to get this rather than this. You can see my dilemma, as he's unaware of how beneficial all of the extra screen real-estate can be. Suggestions? Waco Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 It's his money...but hell, for that little of a price difference there's no way I'd pass up the larger monitor.

d3bruts1d Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 I'd get the Samsung. There really no reason not to get it (IMO). 1) Larger monitor 2) Higher resolution 3) I do not want speakers in my monitor 4) Samsung uses less power (Max) 5) Always had issues with Viewsonic monitors in the past. 6) Samsung has awesome suport when it comes to replacing monitors with dead pixels. 7) Price difference is minimal + MIR + free shipping 8) Samsung has HDCP support. While I hate this technology, it is here.
