Nuclear Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I have used both the DFI X58 and eVGA X58 (including the Classified I'm running now ) and I would have to say the DFI is a great board, much better than the standard eVGA. The eVGA Classified is the best I have used in a very long time, but we'll leave that one out for now. The Foxconn Bloodrage is also a superb board and I wouldn't hesitate to suggest it to anyone. Stay away from budget X58 boards. They often have poor power regulation and other reasons that make them "budget." When it comes to an i7 build it's hard to find good components at a budget price. I didn't save the settings. The processor was watercooled, v1 Fuzion. Praz, what kind of memory are you running on that board? I"m using OCZ 1866 Reaper and Kingston HyperX 2000. You're welcome. Not many settings that need altered. It really comes down to the CPU and finding the sweet spot as to the difference between VTT and VDIMM.
