tkrow21 Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 It should already be unlocked, I didn't have to unlock my BIOS.
lbmagic Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 It should already be unlocked, I didn't have to unlock my BIOS. When i say it's locked, i mean that i can go throughh certain settings but i can't change the multiplier, FSB etc.
Turophiliac Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 (edited) Is your system a prebuilt one? as in "made by Dell/Hp/Gateway/etc?" if so, the BIOS is locked from the manufacturer and there is pretty much no way to unlock it. well, I've never found a way and nobody i know can do it. Zertz Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 There's something you have to change from Auto to Manual in the overclocking tab, else every other option will be locked
damian Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 If you disable Intel Speedstep it will allow you to change your Multiplier and FSB. At least my Biostar board did.
The Smith Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Yup on the same page there should be a line called something like "Clock control". Put it on manual.
