troy5061 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 What old games are you guys still playing on your new rigs? I just got IL-2 Sturmovik today in the mail, I bought it for $5 on ebay last week. I haven't played it in years since on my HP with a 433mhz Celeron and a Geforce MX420. Hopefully my new system will play it. I like Star trek armada too, but my new rig wont play it. I also like Silent Hunter II but it wont play either. I guess thats why I keep my HP 560w around. I saw the updated IL-2 1946 is at Circuit City for $20, I might buy that soon. InCrYsIs Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Just installed Diablo on my laptop. Get pumped for D3. I will have to pace myself through Diablo since D3 will release sometime in the next decade.
Fogel Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I'm always going back to Starcraft. That game is just a classic. <<< Any surprise? I mean really. If it wasn't a DOS game I'd find a copy of Privateer II. I'm probably going to try Diablo again at some point. I never played FarCry due to having ancient computer when it came out so I may see if I can find a cheap copy of that lying around. InCrYsIs Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 (edited) Does anyone remember a game called Oulaws by Lucas arts? That game was fun. Can't find it. Let me rephrase. I can't find a cheap copy. People on ebay want 30 -40 bucks. Edited October 24, 2008 by InCrYsIs
Error 404 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Not played as much recently, but no less loved, is Neverwinter Nights (yes, the original). I also occasionally play Civ III gold, but the games end up taking too long and are not as fast paced as I like. (I know. American right?) I also recently found a demo of Quake III arena, and have had much fun with that both on my desktop and my tablet ~Error

SMeeD Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I still play the original DoD once in a while. Other than that I really only touch newer games. Il-2 is always fun (but damn hard) although I wouldnt call 1946 an older game
